History

Professional Diving Services have been in operation for in excess of thirty years supplying commercial diving services predominately throughout Victoria but also interstate and overseas. Professional Divers was founded by Frank Zeigler, initially running from our Portland office in western Victoria.

Malcolm Venturoni joined the company in 1996 heading up the Melbourne Operations and after years of continual growth Malcolm became a partner in 2006 and the Professional Divers Group was formed. 

Professional Diving Services have played a significant role in all of the major maritime projects throughout Victoria since its inception. These have included Victorian Channel Deepening Project, development of the Dockland Precinct, Victorian Desalination Project, Princes Pier Rehabilitation, Appleton Dock Rehabilitation and currently the Port Capacity expansion project.

The purchase, in 2011, of Professional Divers Training Academy an Australian Diver Accreditation Scheme (ADAS) commercial diver school expanded our training and complimented our Smarter Safer Solutions RTO that provides height safety, first aid and confined space training.

We currently have over 65 staff and offices in Melbourne, Portland, Albury, Sydney and recently Vanuato. We set ourselves at the forefront of the commercial diving industry and are leaders in our field. With a strong reputation for professionalism, safe working and innovation we are preparing for further growth into the future.

Professional Diving Services is a family orientated business with many personnel who have been the company for in excess of 15 years. Jamie Zeigler after years of exposure and working in the industry has currently taken a role as a fellow Director and manages operations of the company.
